How do your costs compare to those of others services?
A) The answer totally depends on your situation and staff. When trays are readily made available throughout the service day, you can expect a 40% reduction of service cost at an increased inspection level.
How frequently do you service a facility?
A) We will establish a proactive service level that will review your sets in a timely manner, based on actual usage. We review the adequacy of this service level at the next service and we will reduce frequency when we over-service. Surgery Centers should be serviced twice annually, small hospitals quarterly or bi-annually, and large facilities monthly to every other week. Your repair bin can be serviced weekly, and emergency service is available.
Where is your price list?
A) You rent us at an hourly rate. This rate is determined by the service you require and the technicians that service you. In the event that you provide us with a steady stream of instruments to be inspected and serviced, your cost will be very low indeed. Cost per item can be determined by dividing the total cost by the number of instruments serviced. (This often gets into the low $3 range)!
What instruments do you service?
A) Any hand-held, non-motorized instruments from eye instruments to bone reamers. We suggest that you consider us first, before you incur the usual outrageous bills.
Are there any sacrifices in quality for this "low cost" service?
A) Our in-house, functional, repair approach, combined with our "only when needed" philosophy, enables us to reduce your costs.
What area do you service?
A) Scopes are nationwide. Instruments are serviced in the area within 120 of Manteca, CA. We will make ourselves available to larger accounts at that distance. Smaller accounts may band together with others, through referals, or choose to use our mail-in service (which will be promptly handled at our shop).
What can we do for you?
A) You name it! Just call us!

For over twenty-five years Arcon has provided selected hospitals and surgery centers with expert services at reasonable prices. The service only concept has been tested over many years and its unbiased approach has saved many dollars when the fox and the hen house were kept separate. Competent repairs of doctors' favorite instrument systems have produced savings that, in many instances, would pay for 1 year of service. Many unique services and devices have been borne out of the working relationship between customer and vendor. A custom approach to each account makes for the greatest savings with the least disruption to the facility. Each customer chooses the level and frequency of service that fits them best. Ten to fifteen year relationships characterize our customer list, which indicates much in this very competitive field. We work for you and will not squeeze you into our system.
I also have manufactured medical devices for heart surgery for a number of years. Therefore, I am also familiar with GMP, ISO, ANSI, and ASDM standards. My extensive connections within the industry will of course be at your disposal. Creative solutions to age-old problems will be made available to you.
Kevin Moore has also brought extensive computer and technological ability to our process, which we intend to fully "utilize as we go forward."
